I think we can all agree that we want what is best for our kids. Isn’t that why we have chosen to participate in a preschool; furthermore, a co-op? It is my opinion that one of the wonderful benefits of a co-op is the unique opportunity to be part of your child’s education and development, while simultaneously allowing for parental growth! Of course, one way parental growth can be achieved is through parent education that takes place during your child’s class; however, another is through attending the presentations provided to you from the preschool. These presentations are given from highly educated professionals in childhood development, and are available to you as a parent in Woodinville Family Preschool!
As you know, our preschool has speakers several times throughout the year; however, I would like to specifically announce the Parents Connect Event, which is an annual event hosted by the Parent Advisory Council. Every year, we strive to host a nationally recognized speaker in childhood development, and this year is no exception. I am pleased to announce Rosetta Lee, a faculty member at the Seattle Girls School, as well as, a Professional Outreach Specialist and Speaker. Rosetta teaches several topics at the Seattle Girls School, and has been a diversity speaker and trainer on several topics since 2004. In addition, Rosetta is the recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Partner in Education Award from the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research and a recipient of the 2005 Distinguished Teacher Award for the Washington Federation of Independent Schools.
On March 30th, Rosetta will be speaking on the topic of Gender and Sexuality Diversity at our Parent Connect Event 2015. This event takes place on Monday, March 30th from 7:00-9:00pm, and is being held at the Shoreline Community College PUD Student Union Building.
The preschool has already covered the cost of your attendance, so take advantage of a night away from home and join us for this special speaking event on March 30th.
