Ages are as of August 31st before the school year begins. Classes run from September to June. Families may join at any time on a space-available basis.
The primary focus of the infant curriculum is to offer support to the parent-infant pair for the ways in which they naturally communicate and relate to each other. This is done through sharing of personal experiences as well as by incorporating information from current research on infant development. In addition, the curriculum provides parents with new ways to engage their babies, such as a focus on sensory experiences, songs, games, massage techniques, toys, and verbal messages. Guest speakers on a variety of topics provide additional insights. PLEASE NOTE! Anyone enrolled in an infant class does not need to hold a school job for that year, even if that member has a child or children enrolled in any of the other classes. In addition, any member enrolled only in an infant class does not need to complete a weekend school cleaning.
